Quality and availability: I had Sony NP-F batteries, both small and large capacity. The batteries are suitable for portable monitors and LED lights. They were definitely needed during the power outage. However, when it comes to powering LED lights, batteries with smaller capacity do not last as long and larger ones work well. Unfortunately, the ones I have do not hold up very well.

So I was looking for a replacement in the market and I found these Vemico batteries with a capacity of 7800 mAh. I had never heard of them but thought I would try them because they were "Amazon's choice".

The first thing you notice is the bright orange color. There is no typical black here. It definitely stands out and you will not find it difficult to find them, that's for sure.

The Vemico NP-F980 / F970 has a battery cover and a micro-USB cable. The MicroUSB cable allows you to charge the battery with a USB port. The ones I have now require the use of a standard NP-F charger that charges individually. Now I can charge two at a time and I have a lot of microUSB cables.

There are four LEDs at the top (100% / 75% / 50% and 25%), which is great because it lets you know how much time you have left on the battery, and on batteries that have no risk or guess indicators . you are not connecting to your device.

The CHECK button does exactly that ... it allows you to see how much battery power is left in the battery, but you can also use the USB port.

On the one hand, there is a 5V microUSB input to charge the battery, which takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge. And on the other hand, your default is USB-A port. It allows you to connect the USB cable and charge the device. Like a portable battery.

You will also see two connection holes to access devices that accept NP-F batteries.

Below is your typical label with your company name, warning signs and symbols.

A portable monitor is one of my devices that needs an NP-F battery when I'm in the field. Having such a large battery can be painful on the eyes, but it will last all day without a problem. I had no problem connecting to the FeelWorld F6 portable monitor, and the monitor loaded without any issues.

Most, if not all, portable LEDs on the market use NP-F batteries to power them. The Vemico batteries had no problem illuminating my LED, which can work on one or two batteries. By inserting both batteries, I will be able to use more LED light.

I would love to have these batteries if I had a 10 day power outage. In addition to turning on the LED lights, it will charge our phones ...

Speaking of cell phone charging. I think the photo speaks for itself. I can get two full charges from a Vemico battery. It all depends on the battery capacity of your device. Unfortunately it is not a Hi-Speed USB port as it will only output 5V 2A.

Conclusion: Vemico Sony NP-F980 / F970 Li-Ion General Battery - good battery. I like that you do not need extra chargers to charge it, and you can charge it with a microUSB cable. I also like that they can charge your portable devices, whether it's a smartphone or a tablet.

I would like to improve the MicroUSB port cover a bit as it was free and did not lock very well. I would definitely consider the Vemico battery as an option if they have what I am looking for.
